There’s something unspoken about the dark, something I can never quite put words to. Something terrifying yet beautiful.” – this is exactly how Katarina, KALI ROSE Designer, feels like. KALI ROSE breathes emotions as each collection is influenced by (in)direct emotional happenings and world events. Just like fashion in general, KALI ROSE bends and amends to changes in society and it does it so perfectly. Hence the reason why this fashion collection is named BIOHAZARDOUS – it is powerful, dangerous, dark, and bold.
Simply put, BIOHAZARDOUS is emotions put into clothing. It is the epitome of sad, depressed, confused, disappointed, emotional, hurt. The collection itself speaks volumes. It helps you express and makes you feel authentic to yourself and your emotions. Black is the prominent color in the collection.
All the fashion pieces are designed to be comfortable yet fashionable and powerful. The men collection boasts leisure, comfort, and style. On the opposite, the women’s collection has a discrete sexy tone while keeping it casual and comfortable. Lace, used in multiple pieces, is edginess and ruggedness disguised. As it gives that playfulness in the clothes, it acts as a bridge between people that already have that alternative and dark fashion style and those that are just tapping into it.
Some of the fashion designs are very flowy, not your usual sizing, nor tailored according to mainstream fashion, while others are very sexy, tight, and figure revealing. We, at KALI ROSE, do not body shame. We are not afraid to experiment. We are fluid and let you decide how you want to wear our clothes. Indeed, BIOHAZARDOUS is the collection that is tied with the most intense emotions. The apocalypse that is still happening in front of our eyes was the fuel that KALI ROSE needed to launch this fashion collection. However, apart from caring about the looks of our little tribe that always serves drip, freshness, and attitude, at KALI ROSE we also put our people’s best interest first when creating the fashion designs. Hence the reason why we decided to create masks that could protect our tribe but also match their style.
When asked what she feels about this Biohazardous fashion collection, Katarina said “It is the most emotional collection I have ever made. These dark and uncertain times have really fueled my creative side. I created as I felt, overwhelmed, and confused by everything happening. One day I felt like the power is within me, another I would shy away in my feelings. I am satisfied with how I am portrayed by inner emotions in this collection. I hope that people that wear BIOHAZARDOUS will connect with the fashion pieces and will feel what I felt. It is truly a collection for all the liberated and honest individuals, unafraid to show their true colors.”
